Ada Burns

Burns, Ada Lillian, age 80, of South Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on June 19, 2012. She was an active member of South Knoxville Baptist Church and a 1949 graduate of Knoxville High School. She is finally around friends and family in Heaven. Her disease has been hard on the family but we know she is smiling on us from above. She will be remembered for her kindness and beautiful smiling face. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Glenna Yoakum; brothers, James Yoakum and Charlie Yoakum Jr.; her sisters, Opal Cline and Evelyn Conley. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Rhea E. Burns, Sr.; children, Rhea Eddie Burns Jr., Teresa Burns Davidson and Mike Burns; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home on Thursday from 5-7 PM with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Family will gather at 11:45 AM Friday at Woodlawn Cemetery for a 12 noon interment.
