
A.J. was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, but had lived in East Ridge since 1964. He retired from City Finance/Great Western. He enjoyed camping at Riverbend Campground in Pigeon Forge for more than 30 years. He loved southern gospel music and being with friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Stella and Albert Parker, twin brother Alfred and sister Georgia Collins, Wanda Householder and Ruth Householder.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years Adah Carmichael Parker; son Doug (Carol) Parker; granddaughters Karen (Charlie) Stoll and Jenny (Greg) Lyons; great grandchildren Nicholas, C.J., Gabrielle, Harrison and Maxwell Stoll; niece Rhonda Stokes as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home in Knoxville from 2-7 Saturday.
Funeral services will be 7:00 pm Saturday at Berry Funeral Home Chapel in Knoxville with Reverend Michael Vandergriff and son Doug Parker officiating. Interment will be 1:00 pm Sunday at Woodlawn Cemetery.
