

Born June 17, 1947 in LaPorte, IN, Allen was the first of two children of the late Maurice and Alice Quigley. He graduated from North Liberty High School in 1965 and then Indiana Barber College in Indianapolis, IN.
He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy, stationed in Norfolk, VA on the USS Laffey where he was able to sail to the Mediterranean on two different deployments.
On February 16, 1969, Allen and Karolyn Liggett from Niles, MI married and enjoyed nearly 53 years of marriage until her passing on February 3, 2022.
After devoting 12 years to caring for foster children, Allen and Karolyn adopted their son Scott Quigley who preceded them in death on March 10, 2008.
On September 22, 2023, Allen and Brenda Metz from Knoxville, TN married and have shared three great years cruising in his Mustangs around Gatlinburg, a Caribbean cruise, and multiple shows in the surrounding area. They have recently been attending First Baptist Church of Strawberry Plains, TN.
After several years working as a barber, Allen changed his career path to restaurant management where he served as store manager and district manager for various restaurants that included Taco Bell, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Arby’s, Hacienda Mexican, and Spaghetti Works. He also worked as a customer service lead at FurnitureFind.com.
Allen loved cruising around Pigeon Forge, TN in one of his Ford Mustangs. He also enjoyed dining out with the many friends that he and Karolyn met during their time in TN.
Allen is survived by his wife Brenda, brother and sister-in-law Brett and Darlene Quigley from LaPorte, IN., step children Doris (Douglas) West, Diane (John) Allred, Jamie Floyd, Joyce Odom all from the Knoxville area, and his cousin Cindy (Chris) Petranic from the Cleveland, OH area.
A visitation will be held at Berry Highland South, 9010 Simpson RD, Knoxville, TN 37920, on March 20, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service staring at 2pm, followed by a Graveside with Military Honors at 3:00 pm.
