Alvilda A Anderson

Alvilda Asalee Martin Anderson born January 24, 1928, passed away on June 14, 2024 in her hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee. Alvilda was loved by her family and friends and will be missed. She will be remembered by all for her sweet kindness, loving spirit, and caring heart. She loved God and was a devoted member of Knoxville First Church of the Nazarene. She loved her family dearly and cherished every moment with each generation from her children to her great-great grandchildren. She was devoted to praying for everyone around her. Her family was blessed to have 96 years with her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Claude and Lucy (Taylor) Martin, her husband William Ernest Anderson, her son Kenneth Anderson, her son-in-law Mark Caldwell, her son-in-law Mike Wiles as well as her grandchildren Kenny Anderson, Casey Corum, and Scott Caldwell.

Alvilda is survived by her children Carolyn Andrews (Terry), Rita Wiles, Ina Corum (Vernon Sr.), Shelia Caldwell, and James Anderson (Debbie).

She has many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren she leaves behind as well. She also cherished many of her extended family that are still living as well.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Knoxville First Church of the Nazarene at 538 Vanosdale Road Knoxville, Tennessee 37909 on June 17, 2024. The receiving of Family and Friends will begin at 6:00PM and a service to follow led by her pastor, Chaplin Rick Shelton at 7:00PM.

Alvilda will be laid to rest at Berry Highland South on June 18, 2024 at 11:00AM.
