Those who were privileged enough to know her will be saddened to learn that Amy Jo Christopher passed away in the early morning hours of October 20, 2026. She is survived by her siblings, Buddy Jackson and Rebecca Williams and husband Alan Williams; her loving children, Jessica Leigh Haun and husband Gabe Haun and Jonathan Luke Christopher and wife Samantha Christopher; as well as her ten grandchildren, Katie, Aliyah, Anna, Makenna, Weston, Melynn, Justus, Alexander, Jax and Sullivan.
No amount of words are enough to describe the multitudes of lives she lived in her 69 years, nor the many ways she touched the lives of others. Still, we’ve tried to put together some details we feel are worth sharing.
Amy was born on October 6, 1957 to Charles and Emily Jackson in Knoxville, Tennessee. She graduated from Doyle High School in 1975 and, shortly after, welcomed her two beautiful children, Jessica and Jonathan, whom she loved with all her heart.
Amy was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Her free spirit and kind soul made her well-loved by many within her community. She marched to the beat of her own drum, answering to no one but herself, yet always making room in her heart to listen to anyone who needed it.
She always loved gardening and nature - when asked what her favorite flower was, she would say, “all of them.” Music, above all things, was well-woven into the fabric of her life. In her free time, you would find her listening to it while sewing, tie-dyeing, crafting, drinking a Coke, and/or in the middle of a spontaneous house project she came up with because sitting still was never part of her agenda. She was multifaceted; a nonconformist, a spitfire, and a wonderfully-caring person all the same. Constantly moving, laughing, and always loving, she was the life of every party, movie night, or holiday. She will be dearly missed by her family and community and will remain in our minds and hearts for eternity.
All are welcome to attend the Celebration of Life from 3-5 p.m. on November 7th, 2026 at River John’s Outfitters, located at 4134 Cave Mill Rd., Maryville, TN 37804. Afterwards, we will be gathering to share stories, drink, and celebrate her, just like she would have wanted. Details about this gathering and a plan for inclement weather will be posted on Facebook via close family.
Online condolences may be left at www.berryfuneralhome.com for the Christopher family.
