Andrea Terrell Rice

Andrea is survived by her children, Kimberly Rice and Matthew Rice & daughter-in-law Jessica Biggard; grandchildren, Guinevere Rice, Lorelei Hazlett & Scarlett Rice; parents, James & Suzanne Titcombe; as well as brothers and sisters, Kenneth Titcombe, Justin & Angela Titcombe, and Candice & John Brand. She was preceded in death by her son Tannar Rice.

She was born on October 22, 1968 in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. From a young age, she was a fearless free-spirit and displayed a rare gift for helping people see the beauty in the world around them. Andrea found magic in nature, in everything from flowers and butterflies to rocks and trees. She showed a whimsical side with her love for sheep and fairies, finding joy in trinkets, plushies and even footy pajamas.

Andrea had an enormous heart and shared her love with everyone. She was a hard-working mother and grandmother, devoting herself to the safety and happiness of her children and grandchildren. Her love extended to animals, spoiling her pets with attention and treats. She made sure any stray cats remained fed and provided food for local hummingbirds. She consistently reminded us to slow down, appreciate the little things, and embrace who we are.

Reading novels and watching documentaries were beloved pastimes for Andrea and she was especially fond of true crime stories. Her enthusiasm for these was passed down to her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed putting together puzzles with others and playing board games, inviting anyone to join her.

The world has dimmed without the light that shined from within her, but the love, creativity, and wonder she shared will remain with everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. We will be forever thankful for her gifts of wisdom and laughter as we remember her in our hearts
