Anne Marie Carlson, daughter of John Frank Bulda and Stephania Marie Laguz, was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 6, 1923. She passed away peacefully with family and friends on September 6, 2020 at her place of residence at The Pointe at Lifespring in Knoxville, TN at the age of 96.
Anne graduated from Northwestern High School in Detroit, MI. She worked during WWII, beginning with Western Union on roller skates and later in various industries supporting the war effort. She married Raymond Pershing Carlson in 1955 and was a homemaker and helped to run the family drapery decorating business. She enjoyed traveling, spending time outdoors and being close to the water, arts and crafts, baking for her family, as well as buying, decorating and selling homes around the U.S. coast to coast. Anne attributed her long life to living a healthy, active lifestyle. She was dearly loved by her three daughters, three grandsons, ten great grandchildren and extended family.
Anne is survived by her two daughters Carol Anne Pierce and Janet Lynn (David) Caylor, son-in-law James K. Wilbur (daughter Patricia Ellen deceased). Grandchildren include: Christopher David Larsen and wife Andrea, Michael David Caylor and wife Audra, Ryan Patrick Caylor and wife Madison. Great grandchildren include: Olivia, Bentley, Graham, Riley, Bella, Gabriel, Grayson, Scarlett, Alexa, and Roman; plus many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held for family and friends on Friday, September 11, 2020 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Berry Highland Memorial. A funeral service for the celebration of Anne’s life will begin at 10:00 AM also on Friday, September 11, 2020 at Berry Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919, (865) 588-0567. The procession begins immediately following the service with a graveside dedication at 11:00 AM at Berry Highland Memorial Park.
