

Anni Lasley was born June 30, 1925 in Germany to parents, Michael and Margaret Schmidt. She passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025 at her home in Knoxville where she enjoyed cooking, nature, music, gardening, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She was a lifelong member of First Lutheran Church of Knoxville.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lasley; parents, sisters and her brother in Germany.
Left to cherish her memories are daughters, Monika Rash (Howard) of Knoxville and Connie Martin-Hall of Lynn Haven, Florida; grandchildren, Karen Spaid (Scott), Julie Killian (Steve), Eric Martin (Suzanne), and Michael Martin (Cennet); great grandchildren, Kelsie Leonard, Sydney Goodson, Hayden Reed, Abby Martin, Jackson Killian, Connor Martin, Olivia Kimmel, Harrison Killian, Ethan Martin, Hailey Martin and Jayda Martin; great great grandchildren, Ellie Leonard, Millie Leonard and Moffitt Goodson and several nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to the care team at Covenant Hospice. The family is especially grateful for Beth, Jane, Raetta and Chaplin Jenny. The family also wants to extend thanks to Mobile Meals and the volunteers that give their time and love.
Receiving of friends will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 4-6 with a funeral service to follow at Berry Highland Memorial Funeral Home. Annie will be laid to rest next to her husband at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Lyons View.
