Barbara Ann (Hobby) Duncan

Barbara was born to Rufus Earl and Rosalee Hobby on May 27, 1933, in Knoxville.

Barbara and her husband, William “Bill” Orville Duncan, eloped on Valentine’s Day 1955. They went on to have three children, Debbie, Randy, and Janis.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Barbara loved Jesus and going to church. Barbara attended Olivet Baptist Church for years and, more recently, Still Water Baptist Church.

Barbara joins her parents, her husband Bill, her sister Mae Fleenor, her brothers Donald Hobby, Earl Hobby, and David Hobby in Heaven. She is survived by her children Debbie (Patrick) Schudel, Randy (Stacey) Duncan, and Janis (Scott) Eldridge, seven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren, her sister Mary Nell Bradford, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Committal Service will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, 219 S Gallaher View Rd, Knoxville, TN 37919 on February 27, 2026, at 11:00 am.
