
MARSEE, BARBARA JEAN ATCHLEY LAWSON, D.P.O. – passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 on her 84th birthday. Her family endearingly knew her as “Jean-Jean”. Long standing member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, business owner of AM Optical Dispensary, Kiwanis Clubs of America, 30th Precinct Ward Chairman, a charitable and giving member of the Knoxville community. Preceded in death by her parents Dr. Paul and Hazel Atchley; brother Phillip E. Atchley; husbands Charlie E. Lawson and Marion D. Marsee; oldest son Daniel Paul Lawson and other dear family members. She is survived by her two children and their families. Alex, Pam, Hannah and Daniel Lawson of Knoxville, and Gina Marsee, Jereme and Nate Trimble of Limerick, PA; all those wormy kids; the Danny Lawson Family; her two sisters and a host of family and friends. Her immediate family is grateful for the loving and compassionate care provided by Jefferson City Health and Rehabilitation staff, administrators, and residents. Jean was a graduate of Knoxville Central High School Class of 1947. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 11am at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Knoxville by Father Jerry Tully C.S.P. The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the basement of the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be provided to the Alzheimer’s Tennessee, Inc., Kiwanis, or Lions Clubs of America.
