Barry F. Doucette

Barry F. Doucette was born 17 Nov 1940 to Stanley & Jeannette Doucette in Boston Mass. Barry graduated from Quincy Trade in 1958 and at that time he joined the Air Force. He served 21 years and was decorated many times, which include 4 Air Force Commendation medals, 4 Air Force outstanding awards and six Good Conduct medals and many others. During his military career he was assigned to the ROTC Det 800 at the University of Tenn. After his outstanding military service Barry joined the Postal Service where served for 24 years. After his Postal career he worked for 10 years at Tenn Floral Supplies of Knoxville. Barry is survived by his loving wife Carol of 64 years. Also, his daughter Mechelle, son Michael and wife Diane, and daughter in law Suzanne and husband Chris; also, granddaughter Nicole and husband Jeremy, and granddaughters Kayla and Leann and grandson Chris. Also, his six great-grand grandchildren Mason, Lily, Jackson, Adam, Dean and Allie. He is also survived by his sister Elaine and husband Dave and brother Stanley and wife Rose, and many nieces and nephews. Barry will be missed by his many golf and poker buddies. Member AFSA, Member Post Office Letter Carriers Union over 40 years, branch 419.The family will receive friends Monday the 8th from 5-7 pm at Weaver Funeral Home . Family and friends will meet at 9:45 am Tuesday at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery on Gov. John Sevier Hwy for a 10 am interment service.
