May 3, 1943 – December 3, 2018
Rebecca Jo Webb Hudson passed away peacefully on 12/3/2018 embraced by her husband, Spencer. Becky knew no stranger and her infectious smile greeted everyone she encountered. Becky was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Becky is survived by her husband, Spencer Hudson; daughter, Amanda (Kerry) Giese; son, Joe Hudson; grandchildren, Lauren Hudson, Spencer Hudson, Emma Giese, and Roxie Ayden Giese.
She was a member of First Baptist Church since 1976 and she worked tirelessly for people within the church and serving people outside the church. She served in the FBC Food Co-Op supplying food and other needs from the Second Harvest Food Bank to families in need until she was physically unable to continue.
She began a teaching career working with the State of Tennessee services for the Blind by traveling the state serving blind persons and teaching skills to help them cope in daily life. She was later the director of the Chaplains office during the 1982 World’s Fair in Knoxville. This experience was the highlight of her career as she enjoyed serving the ministers of the community and the guests from around the world. She continued work afterward as the secretary of the Knoxville Ministerial Association. She moved on to serve school children in Knox County by substitute teaching at Doyle High School. Her love of genealogy led her to be a part of The Daughters of the American Revolution and her family is one of the First Families of Tennessee. Berry Funeral Home is honored to serve Becky's family and friends during this difficult time. The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church on Saturday, 12/8/2018, from 1pm to 3 pm with a memorial service to follow. Any persons wishing to donate money can make offerings to either Second Harvest Food Bank or the First Baptist Church Food Co-Op. The family request that flowers be delivered to First Baptist Church, 510 West Main Street Knoxville, Tennessee. Floral deliveries on Saturday are requested to be scheduled after 12:00pm

My condolences to the family. I lived near and went to school with Becky and enjoyed getting re-connected during our last class reunion and our little dinners afterwards. She was a sweet, loving lady who I am privileged to have known.
May God grant you His peace at this time of sorry.

Becky was always there for her neighbors. She always has had a remarkable way of being a constantly giving, loving, and supportive spirit. We will miss having her in our lives and in the lives of our neighborhood community.
