She is preceded in death by her parents, Harley and Ida Bell Berry and 8 brothers and 2 sisters and her husband of 72 years, Rev. James Kear. Bertha is survived by sister, Margie Lively (Jay Dee), brothers, Ed Berry (Wilma), Ronnie Berry (Glenda). She leaves her children, Ruth Wilson (Jack), Wayne Kear (Peggy), and Earl Kear (Wanda), grandchildren, Connie Wilson Summey (Doug) of Madisonville, TN, David Wilson (Andria) of Murfreesboro, TN and Karen Kear, of Nashville, TN. She also leaves great-grandchildren Jordan and Dakota Summey, Isabella Kear and Callie Wilson.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 23, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Berry Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN, 37919. The family will assemble at Berry Highland Memorial at 9:00am for a 9:30 am interment service with Rev. Julian Robinson officiating.
