Betty Blankenbeckler went Home to Jesus on June 27, 2026, at the age of 89, having been born on October 15, 1936, and residing in Knoxville, Tennessee. She dedicated her life to helping children as a Pediatric Nurse for over 30 years and then later in life, as a volunteer at Children's Hospital. Betty was member of West Haven Baptist Church. She loved her family and tolerated her son.
Betty was preceded in death by husband, Jimmy; parents, Ed and Reba Hankins; siblings, Jenny Jeffries, Carl Hankins, and Cindy Weary. She is survived by son, David (Vanessa); daughter, Beth Austin (John); 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will take place on Friday, July 3rd at 11am at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, 3176 Airport Hwy., Alcoa, TN 37701. Meeting at the graveside at 10:45am. Rev. Tony Maples officiating.
