Betty Sue (Mullins) Cobble, age 88, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. She was born December 4, 1935 to Robert Cleve and Bessie Blanton Mullins in Knoxville, TN. Co owner of Cobble School Bus Lines and J. Alexandria's Dolls & Collectibles.
Betty loved sharing her Savior with everyone she came in contact with. She loved to travel and had been across the US twice, to Hawaii, the Greek Isles, and many other places, but her favorite was visiting the Holy Land twice and being baptized in the Jordan River.
Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Roy Cleve Mullins and Bobby Mullins; and former husband, Joseph Cobble.
Left to mourn her passing are her children: Susan (Mike) Hammond, Debby Clowers, and Doug (Cynthia) Cobble; grandchildren: Christopher Hammond, Amanda (Joe) Rutter and sister, Lesly Corum; Trina "Nikki" (Lee) Fadeley, Jordyn Shadix, and Dylan Cobble; great-grandchildren: Houston Hill, Hayden Hill, Keelyn Fadeley, Aubrey Cobble, Jaklyn, Miller, and Cleo Rutter; sister-in-law, Mary Wells; cousin, Alma Hybarger; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Brian Criel, Terry Hensley, Scott King, Fred Fritz, Ronnie Sliger, Wayne & Shirley Drinnen, Savannah Drinnen, Waste Connections Staff, and "George", "Henry", and "Turkey" (you know who you are).
A special thanks to UT Trauma Floor 9, especially Kendra and Parrish, and UT Hospice, Tonia, Dee, and Jackie, for taking such good care of Betty.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 6:00 PM Saturday, June 22, 2024 at West Haven Baptist Church, 5651 Matlock Dr, Knoxville, TN 37921. A Celebration of Life will follow at 6:00 PM, Pastor Edwin Cloud officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's in her memory.
