Betty Carolyn Stone

Stone, Betty Pettit – age 84 of South Knoxville, passed away peacefully on August 25th, 2015 at home. She is a member of Graystone Presbyterian Church and was a past president of the South Knoxville Opti-Mrs. Club. Betty worked in banking for more than 30 years for Park National Bank, Knox Federal Savings and Loan, and the Knoxville Teachers Federal Credit Union. Surviving are her husband, James Harvey Stone; son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Cindy Stone; grandsons Jake and Andy Stone and grand-daughter-in-law Sara Stone, all of San Diego, Calif; sister Patricia Maiure of Poughkeepsie, New York; step-brother Michael Pettit and wife Gale of Knoxville; step-sister Elizabeth Stivers and husband Robert of Knoxville. Betty’s favorite pastime was playing bridge with all her good friends. The family would like to thank her longtime caregivers Loraine and Stella. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Graystone Presbyterian Church, 139 Woodlawn Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920.
