Born Betty Lee Luttrell on December 31st, 1929, in Corryton, Tennessee, Betty was a devoted music and elementary school teacher for over 40 years, inspiring countless young minds. Betty eventually settled in Washington state and spent her off-time exploring national parks and traveling back home to be with her family in Knoxville. Betty was known for her storytelling, her love for music and birds, and dedication to her family.
Betty is survived by her Son, Jim, her Grandchildren, Kevin and Rhea, her Great-Grandson, Caleb, and many loving Nieces and Nephews. Betty was predeceased by her beloved siblings, Mildred, Woodrow, Brownie, Macel and Houston.
Services will be held at Washington Presbyterian Church on February the 21st at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to the Church or the Humane Society of Tennessee, organizations Betty cared for.
