

Billie Harmon Brooks, age 90 of Knoxville passed away August 27, 2015 at Atria Weston Palace after a brief illness. She was “our” earthly angel who now has joined the heavenly angels. She was the daughter of the late Grover and Willie Harmon and sister to Christina, Helen, Burl, Charlie, Martha, Lois, and
Walter (deceased). She is preceded in death by the love of her life and best friend for 64 years, Glenn B. Brooks. She is survived by four daughters, Cathy Williams and late husband Wesley, Margie Bowman and husband Jim, Glenna Petress and husband Jim, Sherry Watt and husband Mark; sister Margie Picquet; sister-in-law Shirley Brooks; grandchildren, Richmond Williams, Brian Williams, Mary Williams Katri, Brent Bowman, Mark Bowman, David Kinlaw, Tiffany Kinlaw Robertson, Andy Guynes, Kimberly Watt McCune and Kristen Watt; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church on Western Avenue. She was employed by Sears Corporation until her retirement in 1987. She was a sweetheart and loved by all who knew her. She will be missed dearly. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her daughters and family and also watching and cheering for the UT Volunteers. The family would like to thank the staff of Atria Weston Place and Caris HealthCare for the tender love and care they gave to Billie. Visitation will be from 6:00-7:00 pm Friday, September 4, 2015, with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 pm at Berry Highland
