Billy Eugene Hopkins

Billy Eugene Hopkins, age 96 of Knoxville, passed away July 23, 2025. He was a long-time member of Grace Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He was a Volunteer with the Karns Fire Department, Treasurer of Karns Community Club, and Volunteer at Angelic Ministries. He and his wife Barbara traveled all over the world.

Preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Harrison Hopkins; parents, Jesse and Garlis Hopkins; siblings, Lawrence Hopkins, Lois Moses, Barbara June Hopkins, and Don Hopkins.

Survived by his son, David (Lu Ann) Hopkins; daughters, Eugenia (Gina) Hopkins Johnson, Kim (Greg) Gheen; grandchildren, Josh (Becca), Sam (Whitley), Kelsey, Alexander, Caroline, Kendall, Jonah, and Mason; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Piper, and Liam; sister, Shirley Davis (Butch), and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 am interment.

The family will have a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 12:30 pm until 2:30 pm at Weaver Funeral Home. Condolences are welcome at weaverfuneralservices.com.
