April 22, 1944 – March 30, 2026
Bobby "Joe" Brimm, age 81, of Louisville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, at UT Medical Center. Born on April 22, 1944, Joe lived a life defined by dedication — to his craft, his family, and his faith.
For more than 50 years, Joe was a master builder of race engines, a true craftsman whose skilled hands could bring nearly anything to life. Whether under the hood of a car or working on a project for someone in need, Joe approached every task with quiet precision and pride. His work was his signature, and those who knew him knew the care he put into everything he touched. Joe was a longtime, faithful member of Redemption Outreach Church, where he gave generously of his time and talents. His devotion to his church community was a cornerstone of who he was, and he served others with the same steady commitment that marked every other area of his life.
Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Turner Brimm; his father, Bill Brimm; his sister, Billie Jean Goble; and his daughter, Betty Jo Brimm. He is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Carolyn Brimm; his children, Mark Phelps, Bobby Parker, Joann Eleanor Fralick, Gary Mosley, and Chastidy Beasley; his grandchildren, Rhiannon Spires, Caleb Phelps, Joe Wayman, Shannon Walters, Marshall Wayman Jr., Brianna Marsingill, and Logan Beasley; and many cherished great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Betty & Jerry Haynes, and Eleanor Kay Boling; nieces; Brandy Boling and Karen Terry ; many nephews; best friends Carol Boling Carr and Joe Terry; his beloved pets, Shelby, JJ, and Twocents, who brought him joy and companionship. Joe Brimm was a man of few wasted words and endless capability, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a servant, and a craftsman. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
