Bowden Henson Atkins

June 27, 1923February 18, 2011

Atkins, Bowden Henson – passed away February 18, 2011. He was a member of Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church and a 3rd degree Mason. Mr. Atkins served in the US Navy during WWII. He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Juanice Collins Atkins; parents, Dock Farris Atkins and Nellie Henson Atkins; and siblings, Jerry Atkins and Virginia Elliot. Survivors include wife, Bobbie M. Atkins; son, Bowden Henson Atkins, Jr. and wife Cathy; daughter, Kelly Atkins Campbell and husband Marvin; grandchildren: Adam and Alex Atkins; great grandchild, Persephanie Atkins; and sisters, Jimmie Faulkner and Jean Foster. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Monday, February 21st at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 8pm with Rev. Doug Brown officiating. An interment service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, February 22nd at Eastview Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.mccartyevergreen.com
