

Born on May 16, 1946, Boyd pursued a career as a mechanical engineer after graduating from Roane State Community College. He retired from TVA and Facility Systems, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and expertise in his field.
Boyd was an avid car enthusiast who found joy in the intricacies of automotive design and performance. He possessed a truly benevolent spirit, and his words were always gentle and kind to all. Above all, he cherished his family deeply and lived a life rooted in faith. A devoted follower of Christ, he attended Seymour Heights Christian Church, where his love for the Lord was evident to all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Shirley; his two children and their spouses, Chris (Misty) of Johnson City, Tennessee, and Brink (Ashley) of Purlear, North Carolina; and seven grandchildren: Jordan (Devin) Clark, Braden Spano, Sophie Jenkins, Finlay Jenkins, Holden Jenkins, Finley Yates, and Bennett Yates.
Proceeded in death by Homer Boyd Jenkins and Trula Brown Jenkins.
Boyd's memory will be treasured by those who had the privilege of knowing him with a celebration of Boyd's life being held on February 15, 2025, at 2 PM at First Baptist Church Seymour, located at 11621 chapman Highway Seymour, TN 37865.
