Sorry to hear about Boyd. I can still hear him say  put them in the books. We loved watching Brink play baseball .  Lets get together after this is over. Dax will be playing baseball.

What is a True Friend?  To me, it is someone you can share all of life's ups and downs, problems and successes without the worry of judgement.  Those are some of the reasons Boyd and I have had 64 years of a special friendship.  It all started as freshmen at Young High School.  We shared several classes together and soon we were discussing cars, drag racing, etc.  We were always racing each other up Chapman Highway to see who had the fastest car, rebuilding engines and going to the races.  As we married, had children and hit problems head on, we seemed to trust each other's opinion.  Since neither of us had siblings, in many ways we became brothers.  He was the person you didn't have to talk to every day or every week, but knew he was always there to talk about or help with anything.  I started Prostate Cancer treatments shortly after Boyd did and his experiences were helpful to me.
Over the past couple of years Boyd has fought the good fight in every way possible, but the Good Lord decided to call him home.  No more pain and no more suffering.
He loved Shirley, Chris (Misty) and Brink (Ashley) and all of the family with all his heart.  I have truly been blessed to have known him.
I love you old friend.  RIP

I am so sorry to learn of Boyd's death.  He served twice as a trusted Executor for family members and did a wonderful job.  He will be sorely missed.

I was so sorry to hear of Boyd’s passing.  You have always been such a special family to us.  I know you will all miss him terribly and I wanted you to know I’m thinking of you and praying for God’s comfort to surround you.

Our racing family met Boyd back in 1973 my dad Ralph Sneaky Snake Thomas, myself Snake Pit then Sneaky Snake Jr,  Chris Snake's Toy Coning, Larry Snake eyes Thomas and Frank Lil Snake Pittman. He has joined them and others at the Heavenly Dragway. Racer to lanes 1 ,2. RIP Boyd

I have known Boyd since the 70's, met him at 411 Dragway, he LOVED that Racetrack, Cars etc.  He also hung out with his best friend Mr. C.L. Braden there!  Last year Boyd another friend and I took a Road trip to Dandridge Tennessee to see Ken and Matt Hensley at their Machine Shop Hensley Performance , Boyd had a BIG time,  he really, really  enjoyed that!  I will always remember that day! He was asking me  to go back again  and we just never made it. 
Boyd was very Interested in Cars and next to his Family, he  Loved Cars a LOT! He and I talked on Occasion about Different shops,  Car Shows and Cruise Ins, he ALSO Loved having the 411 Dragway Racers reunion! He actually talked about and  wanted to have one this year!, Perhaps someone will put that together and call it the Boyd Jenkins memorial 411  racers reunion or something like that! He was a GOOD MAN! 
Boyd, Loved His Family, His Wife and his two sons  and they loved him, he was always telling me about his family, especially  two Sons and their families! He was extremely proud of them and their families! Until we meet again Boyd! God Bless You and your Family! Ed

Boyd and I worked together at FSC many years ago.  I enjoyed working with him and always thought highly of him.  I always enjoyed joking around with him.  My oldest son, Avery, still remembers him all these years later. He was very kind to him when he and his mom would visit the office. I was saddened to hear of his passing. Amy and I will be keeping you in our prayers and wish we could be there to pay our respects.

I'm shocked and saddened to hear of Boyd's passing.  It seems like yesterday that we were heading to classes at UT and visiting n talking about hotrods.  Boyd was a lovely man.  He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered.

Boyd was part of our Young High Class of 1964.  We enjoyed seeing Boyd and Shirley at our 70th birthday party and our 50th reunion.  Boyd will be missed, and we will honor his memory at our next class reunion.  My condolences goes out to all his family.
