Brenda Sue Brown

Brown, Brenda Blackburn, age 71, Entered Heaven’s Gates, February 23, 2018 and you can find her at Jesus’s feet. Brenda worked for many years in finance, and played the organ/piano at Black Oak Heights Baptist, North Knoxville Baptist, Walridge Baptist, Black Oak Ridge Baptist and Sharon Baptist, Marietta, GA. She served the Lord for 60 years with music and loved to share God’s love with others. She was preceded in death by her parents; Rev. Orel & Irene Blackburn, mother-in-law, Rosa Mae Brown & father-in-law, Herbert Brown. Brenda is survived by her wonderful husband of 52 years, John E. Brown, and her beautiful daughters, Robin (Darrin) Anderson & Amy (Dan) Ogle. She is also survived by her most precious gifts, her grandchildren, Carissa & Ethan Anderson, John Tyler & Matthew Ogle and her dear brother, Bill (JoAnn) Blackburn. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Black Oak Heights Baptist Church, 405 Black Oak Drive, Knoxville, TN with service to follow. Rev. Gary Watson and Rev. Charles Tindell officiating. Interment will be Monday, February 26, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Bookwalter Cemetery.
