Brenda Sue Davis Childress

Brenda Sue (Davis) Childress, 70, of South Knoxville, peacefully passed into rest at 2:25pm Friday, December 8, 2017 surrounded by loving family. Raised in Vestal and a graduate of Young High School and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Former employee of the University Libraries at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with more than 40 years of dedicated service. Preceded in death by husband, Ronald E. Childress; father, George W. Davis; mother, Marie ( Jones) Davis; brother, Dennis Davis. Brenda is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Evyn and Will Kropf; grandson Hale, all of Ann Arbor; brother and sister-in-law, George Wayne and Kay Davis of Andersonville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Andrew Grabowski of Gatlinburg and Deborah and Steve Hauser of Crossville and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, from 5:00pm to7:00pm. A service will follow at 7:00pm.
