

She was a long time breast cancer survivor. Brenda was born in Knoxville, TN; the only child and daughter of Glyn and Bonnie Vinyard, of Vinyard Floor Covering. Brenda lived a caring, loving, and outgoing life touching everyone she came across. In her youth, she was a Girl Scout, a Candy Striper, a member of Eastern Star, and the International Order of Rainbow for Girls. She was a part of the Young High School graduating class of 1966. She married her high school sweetheart, Theodore (Tedd) W. Williams, Jr. and they have been married for 48 years. Brenda worked as a long distance operator for Bell in Knoxville, TN; Richmond, VA; and Albany, GA. While she worked in offices and in retail, she was most proud of raising her daughter, Natalie. Brenda volunteered as a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader. She was an avid crafter doing cross-stitch and crochet; among other crafts. Music expressed the love she had for life, whether she was singing along in the car, attending a concert, or dancing at home, her heart beat in time with the music. Brenda lived in the Shenandoah Valley for over 25 years, returning to Knoxville in 2000. Surviving Brenda are her husband, Tedd; daughter, Natalie Williams; best friend Karen Ringer, who took care of her during her illnesses; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Kathy Williams of Maryville, TN, and Tim and JoAnna Williams of Knoxville, TN; her nieces, Andrea Stallsworth and husband, Joe of Maryville, TN, Sarah Williams of Reston, VA, Tricia Luhn Clark and husband, Jason of San Francisco, CA; and numerous friends she considered part of her family. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Berry's Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, with a funeral service 7:00pm.
