Brian Christopher Burns

Burns, Brian Christopher, age 27, of South Knoxville, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, as a result of a motorcycle accident. Brian was a 2003 graduate of South Doyle High School where he excelled in cross country and soccer. He received many athletic awards as a high school athlete. After graduating from high school, Brian began his career with Stowers Machinery where he has been a dedicated employee for the last nine years. He was a member of South Knoxville Church of God. He was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast and was a proud member of the NRA. Brian was a dedicated and loving father and husband and will be missed dearly by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by grandfather, Roy Hudson; grandmother, Ada Burns; grandfather-in-law, Eugene Hickson. Brian is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Whitney Hickson Burns; son, Kingston Isaiah Burns who he adored; four-legged son Brody Bear Burns “BB”, parents, Teresa and Rhea Eddie Burns; mother and father-in-law, Rhonda and Wilmer Hickson; brothers, Scott Matthew Burns and Nathan Ryan Burns; brother-in-law, Christian Will Hickson; grandparents, Mary Ann Hudson McGraw and Charlie McGraw (Uncle Charlie); Rhea Edward Burns, Sr.; grandparents-in-law, Ruth Crisp and Jean Hickson and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Family will receive friends 4-7 pm Friday, August 24, 2012 at South Knoxville Church of God, 5623 Magazine Rd, Knoxville TN 37920, with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM, Rev. Robert Branch officiating. Family and friends will meet Sunday, August 26, 2012, at Woodlawn Cemetery for a 2 PM interment service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Kingston Burns College Fund.
