TSG Forbes served with the US Air Force from 1977 to 1987. He entered the service in Riverside, California and received an Honorable Discharge at Patrick AFB, Florida. His speciality in the service was an Air Traffic Control Radar Specialist for four years and a Space Communications System Equipment/Operator Technician for six years.
Brian was the recipient of Small Arms Expert Pistol/Rifle; Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon with Two Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal; Air force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon; Air Force Overseas Short Tour Ribbon with Two Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters; Air Force Training Ribbon; Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with Four Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters; Air Force Good Conduct Medal with Four Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters.
Military Honors will be held at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920, US, on May 6, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
