Bruce Sherrill Rudder

Bruce was born April 20, 1947, in Knoxville, TN. He was a graduate of Young High School and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps Reserve. Bruce spent the majority of his 30+ year career with the Alcoa Aluminum Company.

Bruce enjoyed spending time with his children & grandchildren, meeting for coffee with his friends at Weigels, playing cards with his buddies, and watching Tennessee Vols football.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Brown Rudder Sr. and Helen Sherrill Rudder; brother, Howard Brown Rudder Jr.; son, Nathan Ammons Rudder.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 51 years, Tana Ammons Rudder; special caregivers sisters-in-law Zoe Ammons & Pat Lukosius and brother-in-law Shawn Ammons; son & daughter-in-law, Boone & Renee Rudder; daughter-in-law Danielle (Rudder) Dunlap; grandsons, Luke Rudder, Knox Rudder, Jaxon Rudder & Cason Dunlap; special friend Snork and many other extended family & friends.

Family will receive friends on Friday, August 14, 2026 at 12PM at Middlesettlements United Methodist Church at 2729 Middlesettlements Road in Maryville, TN. Services to follow in the chapel, officiated by Pastor David Childress.
