Bruce Lawrence Seaton

Bruce was a man of steadfast faith, and his walk with God was evident in everything he did. He was a beloved member of First Baptist Church of Niota, where his faith was not just a part of his life, it was his life. He lived with grace, served with purpose, and loved with a generous and open heart.

A proud graduate of Farragut High School, Bruce went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from East Tennessee State University, a testament to his sharp mind and quiet determination. He answered the call of duty with honor, serving his country faithfully in the United States Air Force. Those who knew him knew that Bruce did nothing halfway, he gave his best to his country, his family, and his God.

Bruce was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Robert and Barbara Seaton; his dear sister, Patti Seaton Rodriguez; and his cherished son, Timothy R. Seaton. Though grief has touched this family deeply, they rest in the assurance that Bruce is now reunited with those who went before him, in the presence of a God who makes all things new.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Catherine Seaton, whose dedication and companionship were among the greatest blessings of his life; sons, David (Manuela) Seaton and Bruce (Melissa) Seaton; brother, Robert E. Seaton Jr.; sister, Lori (Steve) Whitson; his cherished grandson, Parker Seaton; nieces, Stephanie (Chris) Harris, Michelle Seaton, and Jennifer Seaton; and nephews, Andy Whitson, Matthew (Jordan) Seaton, Jon (Jennifer) Tindell, and Chris Donahue. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, and faithful service that will echo through the generations.

Family and friends will gather to honor the life and legacy of Bruce at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920, with a visitation from 11:30am to 1:30pm, from there family and friends will go in procession to Woodlawn Cemetery, 4500 Woodlawn Pike, Knoxville, TN, for a graveside service at 2:00pm, with Pastor Cullen Conner will officiate the service.
