Mr Pickens was a wonderful family man. I respected him so very much. He gentle ways were always appreciated by me growing up. He was a fine example of what a Christian should be. I know he leaves a strong legacy through his family.

I offer my condolences to the family.  Being from Walnut, Miss. I knew Bryan many years ago, in fact I remember when one of his brothers was killed training with the National Guard, and Bryan was in the Navy at the time.  I had followed his career based on newspaper accounts but had wondered whether he was still in the area after he retired.  He certaintly achieved much in his lifetime.  I would come by the funeral home tomorrow, but I have to go out of town on an emergency for 2 days. May the Good Lord look down on you during this time of grief.

Bryan was a blessing to so many people. Cathy Thomas loved to pester Bryan and he loved returning the kindness. He was a very special man and will be sadly missed by all of us who knew him. Praying for the family

I had the privilege and honor of knowing and working with Bryan for over 15 years and during that time came to value him greatly.  He was incredibly helpful in assisting me to get acclimated to Baptist Health System of East Tennessee.  I was always amazed at his knowledge of the history of Baptist and was inspired by his commitment and loyalty.  He was a fine, Christian man who "walked the walk" of his faith.

Mr. Pickens was such an interesting man.  He had so much knowledge of Baptist Hospital.  A very nice guy.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
