
Webb, Carl, age 104, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord and his wife, Monday, February, 9, 2015. Carl was a Christian and worked for Oliver King where he built barges, was tug boat captain, kept Tennessee River dredged and took care of the men under him. He was preceded in death by wife of 62 years, Pearl Webb; daughter, Clara Ruth Wiles; grandson, Michael Wiles. He is survived by daughter, Barbara Smith; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Bessie Webb, Carl Leroy and Betty Webb; grandchildren, Larry Smith and Vicky Osborn, Darrell and Becky Smith, Robin and Debbie Webb; great-grandchildren, Cory and Brenna Smith, Daniel and Brandon Wiles; great-great-grandchild, Zuriel Wiles. Special thanks to all the staff of Covenant Hospice. Call of Convenience will be Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 2:00pm-8:00pm at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. Family and friends will meet Friday, February 13, 2015 at Woodlawn Cemetery for a 1:00pm graveside service with Chaplin Ernie Coleman officiating.
