

Rev. Carla Latham-Cook, age 50, of Knoxville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Sunday, September 22, 2019. She was a member of Victory House of Faith. She enjoyed serving the Lord. Carla was a friend to all, she never met a stranger. She loved her family and had fun with them all; but, when it came time for the Lord, she was all about him. “But God” she would say, is the only one and the only way. She was a mother figure to a lot of young people and loved helping with the children. She will forever be in our hearts. Preceded in death by her father, Johnny Latham. Survived by husband, Kris D. Cook; mother, Betty Latham; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Daniel and Carlene Cook Sr. of Wisconsin; children, Tiffany Merriman (Michelle), Cassandra Merriman (Justin), Christopher Clayton (Miranda) and Jada Rodriquez; grand-children, Amari and Serenity Merriman, Jalaya and Ta-Mani Knaff; sister, LeAnn Wood (Jeff), all of Knoxville; brothers-in-law, Ron Cook (Laura), of Wisconsin and Daniel Cook Jr., of Illinois and several aunts, uncles, cousins and special friend for many years, Amanda Finley. Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a service following at 7:00 pm with Rev. Jeff Wood officiating. Interment will be Friday, September 27, 2019 at 11:00 am at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
