Carolyn Sue Nelson, passed away on February 4, 2018 after a brief illness. Carolyn lived her entire life in Knoxville, including the last 58 years at the house in which she raised her family. She was the only child of Clarence and Gertrude Scruggs. In 1955, she married Glenn C. Nelson, the love of her life, and together they raised two boys, Jeff and David. Her professional career spanned over 35 years of working in the business office of the Knoxville school system. She was an avid member of the West Haven Garden Club and greatly enjoyed arranging flowers her entire life. She is survived by her son, Jeff; daughter-in-law, Dolores and her two “grand-dogs”, Angus and McDuff. We will miss her greatly. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm Wednesday, February 14th at Weaver Funeral Home with service to follow. Officiated by, Dwyn M. Mounger. Interment will be private.
