

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Carolyn Sue Strader, a beloved wife of 58 years, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, respected pharmacist, and citizen of the world, who departed this life on May 2, 2025, at the age of 78.
Carolyn lived a life full of adventure, compassion, and grace. A dedicated pharmacist, she devoted her career to helping others with knowledge, kindness, and care. Her deep sense of empathy extended beyond her profession and into every corner of her life.
A true world traveler, she explored the globe with curiosity and wonder, embracing cultures and people from every walk of life. Her journeys were more than trips—they were a reflection of her adventurous spirit and love for learning.
Those who knew her were touched by her warmth, generosity, and ability to make anyone feel seen and valued. She had a gift for listening, a heart for giving, and a soul that shined brightly in the lives of her family, friends, and all who met her.
Preceded in death by parents, John and Rachel Humphrey; siblings, William, Martha and Libby.
She is survived by Husband Charles Strader Sr.; sons, Charles Strader Jr. (Mary), John Strader (Olena); grandchildren, Whitney Sharp (Derek), Dakota Strader, Sophia Strader, Matthew Strader; great grandchildren, Brylie, Brody, River, Millie, Ella, and Ever, and will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.
A celebration of her life will be held on May 14th 12:30 p.m. at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Memorials/Donations or Flowers may be made to Berry Funeral Home.
