I worked as a geologist for TDEC for 25 years, retiring in 2010. I got to know Chuck because we all worked in the same building. He always was smiling. It seems he could grow a full beard in one day and I often accused him of being part werewolf.

I am so sorry for your loss!  Randy told me wonderful stories about him, Chucky and Greg growing up.  They are now together again.  I love all of you.  You always made me feel like apart of the family.  I am praying for all of you!!

I worked with Chuck for over 20 years. He will be greatly missed by all. Rest in Peace and all my best to the family.

I have know Chuck for the last 15 years. He was a Coworker. Chuck was always willing to help and give what he could to those in need. His smile alone quite often was enough. My sincerest condolences to all who knew him but especially his dearest children (Erin & Lindsay)!  May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

I am so very sorry for your unexpected loss.  I have known Chuck for 25 years.  We enjoyed the same kind of wry humor, and reading material.  I pray that you will take much comfort from the love he had for you and in many warm memories.

Erin and Lindsay, I cannot begin to express my shock and sadness at the loss of your father.  His kindness, wit, since of humor and dedication to his work will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathy.

Chuck and I worked in the same building since 2000.  Chuck was one of the first people to smile and say "hello" in this vast office and I remember how much I appreciated that.  Later, he and I bonded in the realization that we shared the same Honda auto mechanic and we laughed as we told stories about those guys, who we both liked and admired.  Chuck always impressed me as a very hard worker and a really good guy.  I miss his presence very much and was truly saddened to hear of his passing.  I pray that his girls will find solace in their faith.  Your dad was a fine human being and he is in good hands.

Erin and Lindsay, We are so sorry to hear of your Fathers sudden passing. We knew your dad thru his friend Greg. Chuck was always so pleasant, cheerful and funny. He only seen the best in the people he was interacting with. When Greg called with the terrible news all he could say was how much Chuck loved his girls. Keep that love going. Love and support one another, keeping your Father's memory alive.

To everyone who has signed the guest book, we thank you.  We are planning a memorial service Jan 14th at Dover Church with visitation at 2 and service at 3, where Chuck was raised, in Morristown, TN.  You are all welcome to attend. None of us at TDEC can believe Chuck is gone.  I have known him for many years. Even though we worked in different divisions, he was always friendly. I can see from all the comments that he was that way to all.  Sadly we have lost a number of TDEC colleagues; we will add a tree to honor him to the ones planted in their memory. Quite a few years ago, I told Chuck I saw him on TV; he was at a church service with his daughters, beaming away.  I hope you have strength and peace in the coming months. Chuck leaves a great legacy here at TDEC and in your lives.

I was shocked to hear of Chucks' passing. My wife Becky and I worked in the same building with Chuck for decades. He was always friendly and smiling. I could tell that he was very dedicated to his daughters. He was one of the good guys! Rest in peace Chuck.

I've known and worked with Chuck on professional committees for over 10 years...  having monthly calls these past few years.  I am in shock at his passing.  He was an outstanding radiological health physicist, dedicated civil servant, and warm & fun person to work with...  we will miss him greatly. I worked with Chuck. I didn't know him well since I work in Nashville but he was always so nice to me and very funny. He will be truly missed. I am sorry for Lindsay and Erin. He always spoke so highly of his girls and was so proud.

It was a shock to hear Chuck was gone.  I work from a different side of the same building, but I spoke to him just the other day in a hallway which makes me realize he will be missed. I am sorry for your loss, and pray that the Lord will bless you and give you peace.

I work for the State in the same building Chuck did. Chuck was a good one, always had a smile and a great sense of humor. I can not believe he is gone and he will be missed.

Chuck was a great friend that I am glad to have known for the last 20 years.  He was a co-worker, a confidant, a mentor, and a truly great friend to me and many other people.  Chuck always found a way to brighten someones day.  He will be missed by the many who knew him.  My thoughts and prayers are with Chuck and his family during this time of grief.

Erin and Lindsay, I am so sorry for the loss of your father. He had pictures of you both at his desk at work. I was his secretary for the last 5 years until I retired. Your Dad was a hard worker and a great person to be around. He also had a great sense of humor! He was so appreciative of everything I did for him at work, always thanking me. I know his department will miss him greatly. God bless you both as you grieve the loss of your Dad. You will be in my prayers!
