Dr. Charles S. Lowery

Born in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1959, Steve was of the Baptist faith. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Engineering, as well as the College of Dentistry in Memphis, Tennessee. He opened West Haven Family Dentistry where he enjoyed working until his retirement in 2012.

Dr. Lowery was preceded in death by his parents, Charles William and Evelyn Harmon Lowery. He is survived by his sister, Susan Tipton (husband Garry); brother, David (nephews Josiah and Daniel Lowery); and sister, Marianne Nicely (husband Patrick). Most importantly, he is survived by his very beloved cat, Miss V.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Charlotte Bishop and Troy Miller for their friendship and support of Steve, especially during his prolonged illness. Additionally, they would like to thank Dr. Hatab and his staff at Turkey Creek Medical Center for the exceptional care that was provided for Steve.

A funeral service will take place Monday, January 27, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Berry Highland West, 9913 Sherrill Blvd, Knoxville, Tennessee 37932, committal will immediately follow the service in Berry Highland West Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Steve’s name to the MoCo Mutts Rescue or Roane County Animal Shelter, as Miss V was a rescue and brought so much joy to his life.
