Clara Evelyn (Sliger) Wilhoite, age 90 of Strawberry Plains, passed away on November 15, 2016. She was a retired Secretary from Marmon Transmotive. She was a big U.T. Volunteer fan. Preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lee Wilhoite; parents, Harley and Lois Sliger; and brother, Jimmy Sliger. Survivors include sons, Don (Vicky) Wilhoite, David Wilhoite, Gary (Debra) Wilhoite; and Hal (Linda) Wilhoite; grandchildren, Jeremy and wife Christy, Justin, Alicia, Shannon, Shawn, and Steven; great-grandchildren, Leah and Cole; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends; and special loving cousin, Bonnie. Special thanks to her loving caregiver, Sharlene Donaldson. Family will receive friends on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home from 5-7:00 pm with a 7:00 pm service to follow.
