

Clarence Lee Cole age 93 of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Ben Atchley State Veterans Home. Mr. Cole was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church. Clarence retired from the University of Tennessee. Preceded in death by his parents William and Molly Loretta Cole, brothers Wayne and Carl Cole, sisters Evelyn Gilbert, Betty Holloway, Hazel Jackson, Wanda Cole and Kathryn Jenkins. Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years Pauline Sexton Cole, son Benny and wife Mary Cole, daughters Linda and husband Colin Phillips, and Mary Ann Collins, and son-in-law Kenny Collins, grandchildren Brooke (Jody) Rayburn, Jennifer (Daniel) Flatford and Josh Phillips, sisters Dorothy Qualls and Carolyn Brooks. Clarence also has 2 great grandchildren Georgia and Brody Rayburn and several nieces and nephews. The Cole family will receive friends Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 5-7pm at Berry Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919, with a Funeral Service to follow at 7pm. Family and friends will meet Friday, August 25, 2017, at 10:45am for an 11am interment service at Berry Highland Memorial. Officiating the services will be Dr. Todd Stinnett, Dr. J.C.
