

Dinkens, Clarence Lynn, Sr., (82) peacefully passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Beverly Park Place Health and Rehab in Knoxville. He was born on June 1, 1932 in Powell as the son of Jess and Dorothy (Loden) Dinkens. Clarence will be always remembered as a kind and gentle person who was loved by everyone. Surviving Clarence are his two sons, Lynn Dinkens of Knoxville, John (Sandy) Dinkens of Greenfield, IN; 4 grandchildren: Sarah (Andy), Joseph, Abby and Allie; 1 great-grandchild: Ben; brother, Gaines (Diane) Dinkens of Kent, Ohio; sister, Betty (Bill) Ackermann of Columbia, SC; many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents, Jess and Dorothy Dinkens; brother: Cordell (Ginger) Dinkens; sister and brother-in-law, Christine and George Mourad. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16 from 12:00 to 1:00 and funeral services will be conducted immediately after the visitation at Weaver Funeral Home, 5815 Western Avenue, Knoxville, 37921. Family and friends will meet at 2:15pm Wednesday at Glenwood Baptist Church cemetery in Powell, for 2:30pm interment.
