Byrd, Claude Rhea Jr., age 91 of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015. Claude was a member of South Knoxville Baptist Church and a WWII Veteran that served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was preceded in death by parents, Claude Byrd Sr. and Helen (King) Byrd; wife, Peggy (Folgleman) Byrd. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Calvin Howard; son, Rhea Byrd; grandchildren, Charlie Howard and Angela Howard; great-grandson, Joshua King; brother and sister-in-law, Ben and Joan Byrd; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Lou Thomas.
