Connie Sue Stafford, 65, passed away peacefully in the home she loved April 1, 2021 in Knoxville, TN. A wife, a mother, a grandmother too. This is the legacy we have of you. You taught us to love and how to fight, you gave us strength, you gave us might. A stronger person would be hard to find, and in your heart you were always kind, you fought for us all in one way or another, not just as a wife but as a mother. For all your best, and now your time has come to rest. So go in peace, you've earned your sleep, your love in our hearts we will eternally keep.

Connie was preceded in death by Father, Clarence Edward Richards Sr.; Mother, Susie Elizabeth Richards; Brothers, Clarence Richards Jr., Charles Richards; Sisters, Louise Bowman, Judy Hickman; First Husband, Tony Beckler; Son, Shane Beckler; Daughter, Pamela Barker; Grandson, Nickolas Barker, and Nephew, Michael Bullock.

Survived by Husband, Maxie Eugene Stafford; Daughter, Tonya and Husband Felix Vess; Brother, Theodore Richards; Sisters, Penny McMillian, Phyllis Richards, & Mary Jodie Bullock; Grandaughters, Chelsie Hancock, Hope Barker and Grandson, Bailey Bice.

Tonya, I’m thinking of you and your family. Such a hard loss. 😢. Connie was always so kind to me as a kid. She had that funny Richards sense of humor and beautiful smile. I’ll be praying for you guys this week. -Jennifer Smith

I remember being 3 or 4 years old and you would be going on a date. I would run down Harold lane trying to catch you begging you to not leave me to take me with you. You stopped the car wiped my eyes and promised me you would be back. I Love You and I know you will come back for me one day.
