Dale Oliver Hampton, age 79, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away at home Saturday, August 17, 2024. He was born in Oakland, California on April 19,1945. Dale graduated from Carter High School and attended Hiawassee Junior College. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force achieving the rank of Sergeant. Dale was a longtime member of Huckleberry Springs Church. He loved his rescue collie dogs and Elvis music.
Preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ruth Hampton; aunt, Jean Witt and cousin, Carolyn Campbell.
Dale is survived by brother, Dean Hampton (Melissa); sister, Dawn Mosteit (Steve); nephew, Seth Hampton and nieces, Sarah Roaten (Todd) and Rebekah Stone (Jax).
A private gathering of family and close friends will take place at Huckleberry Springs Church. In lieu of flowers, Dale requested donations be made to Collie & Sheltie Rescue of Middle TN and Huckleberry Springs Church,1716 Huckleberry Springs Rd, Knoxville, TN 37914.
