Danny Ray Norton Sr

Danny Ray Norton, Sr., age 64 of Mascot, passed away suddenly at his home on May 21, 2021. He was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church and attended Green Acres Baptist Church. Danny served in the United States Marine Corp as a Supply Admiral Clerk from 1973-1976. He was the owner/operator of Danny Norton Mobile Home Transit and Service for 20+ years. Danny loved riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace (Bodie) and Dorothy Mae Norton; and father-in-law, Rev. Glenn Suffridge.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mary (Suffridge) Norton; children, Danny “Bear” (Shannon) Norton, Jr., Samantha (Darrin) Worsham, Jessica (Chad) Farley, Justin, Brittany, Whitney (Kenton) George, and Kinsley and Callie Norton; grandchildren, Brayden, Eli, Alex, Aaron, Emily, Alexis, Brooke, Caleigh, Dylinn, Cameron, Tyler, Aiden, Maverick "JJ", Owen and Grant; brother, Johnny Norton; sister, Linda Roderick; mother-in-law, Martha Suffridge; brothers-in-law Randall (Karen) Suffridge and Steve (Carrie) Suffridge; special aunt, Jean (Stanley) Maples; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, May 25, 2021 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Green Acres Baptist Church, 10144 Old Rutledge Pike, Mascot, TN 37806 with funeral service to follow at 8:00 pm, Rev. Tim Muncey, Rev. Marty Buckner, and Rev. Buster Gibson will officiate.

Family and friends will meet Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at East Tennessee Veteran’s Cemetery for an 8:30 am interment.

Honorary Pallbearers include, Danny Hodge, Charlie Muncey, Moose Soloman, Shane Perry, Randy Morgan, Kyle Nelson and Tim McSwords.
