Darlene Kilgore

Darlene Kilgore, age 74, passed away peacefully at home with her dog Dolly by her side on August 3, 2025. She retired from Dr. Rodriguez UT OBGYN as a nurse and office manager after 44 years of service.

Member of Norwood Baptist Church for 50 years. She was a 1969 graduate of Rule High School and loved scrap booking.

Preceded in death by her high school sweetheart of 58 years, Hugh S. “Pap” Kilgore; parents, Burnie, and Helen Kirkpatrick; brothers, Benny, Kenny Wayne, and Bobby Kirkpatrick; nephew, Dustin Munsey.

Survived by daughter, Melissa King; son, Hugh “Bubba” Kilgore (Cindy); grandchildren, Alex (Ashley) King, Kendra King, Katelyn Kilgore, Kobe Hall, and Zane (Caroline) Hall; great grandchildren, Sadie and Sylvie King; nephew, Shawn (Wendie) Bradley; Fur Baby, Dolly; brother, Jerry (Sandy) Kirkpatrick, sisters, Cathy Munsey, Elizabeth Turner; brother, Mikey (Flora) Kirkpatrick, sister, Christy Abner and (John Bailey), and several; nieces, nephews, and special cousins, Glenda and Roger Gregory; special friend, Jeanne Rose, and the Piedmont Girls and the Bunco Girls.

Family will receive friends Friday, from 4-7 pm at Norwood Baptist Church, with the service to follow at 7pm which will be live streamed on Norwood Baptist Church Facebook page. Pastor Mike Petty and Pastor Kemp Wynn officiating. Family and friends will meet Saturday, at 10:45 am at Bethlehem Church Cemetery in Walland, TN for an 11:00 am interment. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Norwood Baptist Church.
