David John Bridges

David John Bridges, July 6, 1956 – August 13, 2024. Beloved husband, son, brother, uncle and friend was called home to Jesus on August 13, 2024. Preceded in death by parents, Maynard and Bessie Bridges and brother, Wayne Bridges. Left behind to mourn his passing and to honor his life; wife, Tammy Bridges; brother, Jim (Judy) Bridges; sisters, Glenda (Charles) Dodson, Shirley (Danny) Davenport; Father and Mother-in-law, Willie and Alice Bennett, Jr; brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Beth Stephens; nieces, Jequetta Cottrell, Michelle Cruz, Melinda Cagle, Shelley Dodson; nephews, Chuck Dodson and Matthew Stephens. Cherished great nephews, Jason and Luke Stephens and great niece, Lily Rose Stephens. John had a great sense of humor and the ability to make you laugh and want to be around him. He was a tech whiz, skilled woodworker, and all around Mr. Fixit, he was always ready to lend a helping hand. He never failed to put the needs of others before his own. An avid gardener, we were amazed by his exceptional vegetables and beautiful flowers. With a sense of adventure leading the way, he was always ready to travel and was able to see many of God’s beautiful creations. His earthly travels are now over, but he will live on in the hearts of those he loved so well and we will carry him with us each step of the way until we see him again.
