Dave was a man with a huge heart, generous in spirit, who always spoke his mind. He had more honor and integrity in him than most people will ever have. We will miss him. It was an honor to have worked with him these last six years. My condolences to Jackie and family.

So sorry for your loss prayers that God will heal and give you all the strength and love for one another and time will heal David always had a hug no matter where I saw him Jackie my prayers for you i know he was your soul mate love you my friend 

Gunny was a great man, brother and friend. He always took care of his men while in the Marines. I know I will miss him. He could always make you laugh. If you needed anything he would do his best to help you out.

I'm going to miss you brother! So glad that we reconnected not too long ago, years after we served together in the Marine Corps. I just wish we had found more time. Family and friends can never receive enough of our most precious resource, time... nor, can we ever find enough of it to give. You were a great Marine, a great friend, a great Father and simply... a great man. R.I.P.  & Semper Fi my Brother. 

David was a great example and a mentor to me while we served in the Marines, he will be dearly missed.  

My fondest memory of Gunney was in Saudi Arabia. I came off of a night watch and I lost a round and had to be accountable for it. Gunney made me assemble a mine detector to find that missing round. Fortunately for me, I escaped his wrath by finding that missing round. In my life since then, I always make sure that I am accountable in my life for things that are my responsibility. He taught me a life lesson in accountability and consequences of actions that I have carried with me since then.

David was my closest friend,we shared many years working,hunting and fishing togather.This is a great shock to me.David loved his family when his boys was small they would hang all over him and he loved it.There was a period that he lived with me and my family and they love him too.Jackie made him come alive again and he loves her so much.A wonderful person and dear friend that never changed he was always the same good man no matter what and come to help you at the drop of a hat.True Patriot,he served his country with pride,he will be missed by many.It was a honor just to be a friend and sadly missed.I'll never forget all the good times we had.

Always smiling and glad to see you.  He LOVED my dear friend,  Jackie. With all his heart and soul. Praying for you all.

He was a great close friend and co-worker. I worked with him in 1982 & 1983 drilling oil & gas wells in Morgan County, TN. Lost contact for a few years. Then he stopped by to see me during the summer of 2016 then I saw him in Rugby during the summer of 2017.  Sure gonna miss him now that he's really gone on! RIP my dear friend!
