David Wallace Galyon, age 73, of Knoxville, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 12, 2025. He was a member of Seymour First Baptist Church and retired from KUB after 36 years. David was a foster parent to over 50 children and had a sense of humor that stayed with him till the end. He was preceded in death by parents, Wallace and Wynell Galyon; David is survived by wife, Billie Galyon; sons, Daniel Galyon, Bobby Tipton and Briane Tipton; daughters, Lory Caldwell, Brittany Carpenter and Tea Browning; brother, Brent Galyon and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Special friend, Randy and Christy Porterfield along with many other friends and family. The family will receive friends Sunday May 18, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. at Berry Highland South 9010 E. Simpson Road. Service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Family and friends will meet Monday May 19, 2025 at Berry Highland South Cemetery for a 3:00 p.m. Interment. Rev. Bruce Yates officiating.
