David Lee Matney

Matney, David Lee – age 52, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 with his family by his side. David was a member of Seven Islands Missionary Baptist Church, he worked for Kendall Electric Co., he was an avid U T fan, and he loved Marvel movies. David is preceded by parents, Georgia and Ermine Matney; brothers, Randy and Wayne Matney; step-son, Andy Moyers. He is survived by wife, Vickie Anderson Matney; daughters and sons-in-law, Misty and Sean Morris, Melissa Matney; step-daughter and husband, Felicia and Lance Sexton; granddaughters, Opal, Moira, Lauryn, and Andrea; sister and brother-in-law, Sherri and Sonny Wilhite and family; father-in-law, Bob Anderson; sister-in-law and husband, Sandy and Andy Thomas; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; numerous friends at Kendall Electric and Seneca medical. The family will receive friends, Friday, August 29, 2014 at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 1:00pm at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway with Rev. Terry Nelson officiating.
