

MILLER, DAVID PAUL – age 74 of the Solway/Karns Community passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 at his home. Member of Solway United Methodist Church. Graduate of the class of 1960 from Karns High School. He worked at Knoxville Lincoln Mercury and Lance Cunningham Ford in the parts department for many years. David loved UT sports and Antique cars, but the love of his life was his high school sweetheart and they have been married for 50 years. Preceded in death by his parents, Paul (PY) and Frances (Williams) Miller; sisters, Patsy (Paul) Chandler, Wanda Cox and brother, Billy Ray Miller. Survived by his loving wife, Charlene (Vanosdale) Miller; mother-in-law, Esther Vanosdale; sisters-in-law, Gladys Miller, Peggy and (Dale) Rowe; brothers-in-law, Jim and (BJ) Cox, Drew (Sterling), Hoyt (Nancy), Bobby (Ginger), Gary (Cindy) Vanosdale and several nieces and nephews. Special life-long friend, Boyd Hartman and wife, Ann. The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. John Vannoy and staff at Tennova Hospice. Family will receive friends Thursday in Weaver’s chapel from 5:00-7:00 pm with service to follow at 7:00 pm. Rev. Henry Lenoir officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 am Friday at Oak Ridge Memorial Park for an 11:00 am interment. Pallbearers include, Tim and Jeff Cox, Greg Miller, Andy, Joe, Michael, Chris, and Brandon Vanosdale and George Browning.
