

Former Knoxville resident David Wayne Peigh age 85 died August 24, 2021. David was born March 29, 1936 in Salisbury Maryland, to John and Julia Peigh. He served 4 years in the U.S. Navy, 4 years as a Staff Sergent in the U.S. Airforce and 2 years in the Air Force Reserve. He retired as a Supervisor of Communications from Norfolk Southern Railroad. David had a love for trains, airplanes and bowling. He received many awards and holds several records of perfect game scores. He loved reading, good music, cats and good food. David has a reputation for eating dessert first and when asked if he wanted banana bread or brownies he quickly answered with Brownies!
Preceded in death by his wife Delores Peigh, Nancy Peigh and the mother of his children Dorothy Ruth Peigh. Also preceded by his beautiful daughter Sharon Peigh Carter.
Survived by sons Stephen David Peigh (Pam), Daniel Peigh, Larry Peigh (Mary)Grandchildren Chad Peigh, Austin Peigh, Molly Peigh, Peyton Peigh and great grandson Noah.
Family and friends will meet Friday, August 27, 2021, at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4500 Woodlawn Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee, for an 11:00am graveside service.
